Aventura Hospital and Medical Center Appoints Dr. Paul A. Vignola as Medical Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory
Aventura Hospital and Medical Center is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Paul A. Vignola as the new medical director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. Dr. Vignola graduated from Yale University School of Medicine in 1971. He completed his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at Yale New Haven Hospital and continued his medical education with a Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Dr. Vignola also served as the Director of the Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Program at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Miami, FL.
Dr. Vignola brings to Aventura Hospital more than 20 years of dedicated expert experience to the field of Interventional Cardiology, along with a strong educational background and a passion for healthcare that will be a tremendous asset to our Cardiac Catheterization Lab, said Heather Rohan, Chief Executive Office of Aventura Hospital and Medical Center. Dr. Vignola is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Interventional Cardiology and Cardiovascular Disease. Previously, he served as the director of the cardiac catheterization lab and as the Chief of Cardiology at Mt. Sinai Medical Center.
Dr. Vignola joins a talented team at Aventura Hospital and Medical Center, consisting of interventional cardiologists and staff experts specializing in invasive cardiology who are on-call 24 hours a day. Aventura Hospitals state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization laboratories are equipped with the most advanced technology, including all-digital cardiovascular imaging systems. The improved viewing helps our cardiologists to treat coronary artery blockages that could cause heart attacks or other serious cardiovascular damage.
